House of Bidenomics: The Northeastern and Southerners who voted for inflation

July 24, 2024

Since 2021, inflation has raged like wildfire across the country. Soaring prices consume the checkbooks and savings of millions of Americans.

Why did this happen? Reckless government spending. Washington pumped billions of dollars into the economy, which made your money worth less and your bills go up.

At first, Washington spent trillions during the COVID-19 pandemic; then President Joe Biden added fuel to the fire by authorizing $6 trillion in extra spending thanks in great part to bills like the Inflation Reduction Act, the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, the American Rescue Act, and the CHIPS Act.

However, Biden is not the only out-of-touch Washington politician responsible for inflation. He needed Congress’ support to turn Bidenomics from a bad idea into painful reality. We already introduced the Bidenomics Five who influenced these laws in the Senate; now, we’ll talk about those who did the same in the House of Representatives.

Pro-Bidenomics lawmakers from the Northeast, Midwest, and West are making your life more expensive with their votes.

Some voted for the four Bidenomics bills; others opposed pro-freedom legislation like the Lower Energy Costs Act, and Congressional Review Act to overturn Bidenomics policies like the student loan bailout or EPA power grabs.

These lawmakers turned the House of Representatives into the House of Bidenomics, and Americans pay the price daily.

Here are the northeastern Representatives who voted for Bidenomics:

Rep. Jahana Hayes, from Connecticut

Jahana Hayes staunchly supports the policies that left the American economy in shambles. Thanks to Hayes’s votes for Bidenomics, residents of Connecticut now pay:

  • $3,739 more on food since January 2021
  • $7,414 more on housing since January 2021
  • $5,414 more on energy since January 2021
  • $10,741 more on transportation since January 2021

For Hayes, Bidenomics comes first, and her constituents come second.

Rep. Chris Pappas, from New Hampshire

Chris Pappas has been a strong supporter of Biden’s economic policies, which have increased living costs for New Hampshire residents. Due to Pappas’s votes, they are now paying:

  • $3,729 more on food since January 2021
  • $7,344 more on housing since January 2021
  • $5,374 more on energy since January 2021
  • $10,682 more on transportation since January 2021

Pappas votes for Bidenomics, and the people of New Hampshire pay the price for it.

Rep. Mikie Sherrill, from New Jersey

Mikie Sherrill’s steadfast support for Bidenomics has led to higher costs for New Jersey residents. Thanks to her votes, New Jerseyans are now paying:

  • $7,494 more on housing since January 2021
  • $5,514 more on energy since January 2021
  • $10,904 more on transportation since January 2021

The people of New Jersey pay more every day— thanks to Sherrill’s votes.

Rep. Pat Ryan, from New York

Pat Ryan has consistently supported the economic policies of Biden, resulting in increased costs for New York residents. Due to Ryan’s votes, New Yorkers are now paying:

  • $7,624 more on housing since January 2021
  • $5,601 more on energy since January 2021
  • $11,032 more on transportation since January 2021

Bidenomics and Pat Ryan are costing New Yorkers an arm and an eye.

Reps. Susan Wild, Matt Cartwright, and Chris Deluzio from Pennsylvania

These three representatives are fervent supporters of Bidenomics, which has driven up costs for Pennsylvanians. Thanks to their votes, residents are now paying:

  • $3,623 more on food since January 2021
  • $6,874 more on housing since January 2021
  • $5,241 more on energy since January 2021
  • $10,232 more on transportation since January 2021

Wild, Cartwright, and Deluzio voted against the wallets of their constituents.

Rep. Jared Golden, from Maine

Jared Golden is a staunch supporter of Bidenomics, which has led to increased costs for Mainers. Due to Golden’s votes, residents are now paying:

  • $3,721 more on food since January 2021
  • $7,224 more on housing since January 2021
